Branchlines carries out Family History Research and Location Photography in the Counties of Bristol, Wiltshire and Somerset, and commissions may be taken for other areas bordering these Counties.

It should be noted that 'Bristol' covers the area generally considered today as the Greater Bristol Area rather than just the old City itself. Bedminster, for example, is currently in Bristol although in times past it was part of the County of Somerset. However, Bedminster records are, by and large, kept at Bristol Record Office.

We have an associate company, Looking Back, who carry out family research in the East Midlands. There is a family link between Branchlines and Looking Back. Although the two businesses are over 150 miles apart, we have close family ties, with Frances, a partner in Branchlines, and Angela, a partner in Looking Back, being sisters. Each company benefits from our shared experiences.
